The 2019 harvest in Napa Valley was notable for its extended, cool growing season, resulting in high-quality grapes with superb balance between acidity, tannins, and fruit. Harvest concluded in late October, allowing winemakers to bring in fruit with optimal ripeness, just before Mother Nature graced us with the first rains of the season.

This unique Mountain Zinfandel continues to garner a following from around the world, tantalizing the senses with its vibrant and complex aromatics and flavors. Upon pouring and first sip, an enticing bouquet of black, green, and white peppercorn are fiercely present complimented with a symphony of plum, blackberry, raspberry, red cherry, and pomegranate. Subtle hints of black tea leaf, freshly rolled tobacco leaf, ground coffee beans, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon add additional layers to this masterpiece on the nose and mouth. This full-bodied Zinfandel boasts beautiful silky tannins and vibrant acidity, culminating in a lengthy, yet brilliantly finessed finish.
